NCT03897270
Photoacoustic Imaging of the Breast in Patients With Breast Cancer and Healthy Subjects
This trial studies photoacoustic imaging of the breast in patients with breast cancer and healthy subjects. Dense breasts typically reduce the sensitivity of a mammography and also is associated with a higher risk of breast cancer. Photoacoustic tomography combines light and sound to provide more information about breast tissue.

Collection of Immunology Specimens From Patients With Cancer or Blood Disorders, and Healthy Volunteers
This research trial collects and stores blood, tissue, and bone marrow specimens from patients with cancer or blood disorders, and healthy volunteers to study the immune system in a variety of different types of experiments, as well as associated clinical data as appropriate, focused on understanding mechanisms of immunotherapy.

Myeloid Derived Suppressor Cells Clinical Assay in Finding Kidney Cancer
This pilot research trial studies the use of the Myeloid Derived Suppressor Cells Clinical Assay in finding and monitoring kidney cancer. Studying samples of blood and urine from patients with kidney cancer in the laboratory may aid doctors in the early detection of cancer, monitor tumor response to therapy, detect the presence of occult spreading of disease, and identify early return of disease.

Physical Activity in Promoting Smoking Cessation in African Americans
This randomized pilot clinical trial studies the use of physical activity in promoting the discontinuation of the habit of smoking (smoking cessation) in African Americans. Participating in physical activity during an actual smoking quit attempt may work better in helping African Americans stop smoking.

Magnetic Resonance (MR) Imaging & Blood Biomarkers for Head and Neck Cancer
The goal of this research study is to find out if using additional MRIs and biomarker testing can help researchers learn to predict how the tumor may change during radiation therapy. Biomarkers are found in the blood/tissue and may be related to participant's reaction to treatment. Biomarker testing in the study may include genetic biomarkers. This is an investigational study. MRIs on this study are performed using FDA-approved and commercially available methods. Having added scans and blood tests is investigational. Up to 100 participants will be enrolled in this study (up to 80 patients and up to 20 healthy volunteers in another part of the study). All will take part at MD Anderson.

Food Frequency Questionnaires in Estimating Food Nutrient Intake in Healthy Young Adults
Fruits and vegetables are an important source of many different phytochemicals that may affect health and accurate dietary assessement tools to quantitate dietary intake are essential. This study will evaluate the correlation of dietary carotenoid intake estimated from two common and one novel food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) with estimated carotenoid intake from 3 day diet records as well as measured blood and skin concentrations of carotenoids. This study will be conducted in healthy adults. These tools may be effective in estimating the level of these compounds in an average diet.

Tu Salud Si Cuenta Intervention in Increasing Physical Activity and Healthy Eating Among Latino Families
This trial studies how a program to encourage healthy behaviors (Tu Salud Si Cuenta) works to increase physical activity and healthy eating habits among Latino families. Improving physical activity and healthy eating habits may help in preventing cancer-related diseases and lead to a better quality of life among Latino families.

Eat, Move, Live Intervention in Reducing Chronic Disease Risk in Medically Vulnerable Communities
This randomized pilot research trial studies how well Eat, Move, Live (EML) works in reducing chronic disease risk in medically vulnerable communities. Obesity, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity are linked to increased cancer risk, especially hormone-related cancer (example, breast cancer). Improving healthy lifestyle practices, namely increasing physical activity and encouraging healthy eating behaviors may reduce the risk of getting cancer and chronic disease.

Combined Breast MRI and Biomarker Strategies in Identifying High-risk Breast Cancer Patients
This clinical trial studies normal breast tissue changes combined with breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that may suggest the beginnings of cancer development. Using breast tissue markers in combination with breast imaging such as MRI may help to more accurately assess a woman's risk of developing breast cancer.
